About The Daily Grind
Karen Robinson opened The Daily Grind in downtown Kincardine in December 2020, in the front of what was then the Sugar Shack Tattoo Parlour. When the tattoo parlour moved in 2022, she turned the back of the building into a seating area.
In August 2024 the shop opened a small satellite counter at Kincardine Hospital, beside the elevators near the gift shop, after Karen saw firsthand that families waiting there had nothing but vending machines. She has also taken a Daily Grind trailer to summer events like Cruise Nights and the Kincardine Scottish Festival.
The Kincardine Record reported that Karen works with about a dozen employees. All five people who have reviewed the shop on Facebook recommend it.

In their words
“When my Mom was sick last year, I was in and out of the hospital a lot. My Dad and I would sit there for hours and there was nothing around but vending machines.”
